Conduct Your Own Wardrobe Audit

What’s in your wardrobe? Do you wear it? Do you want it?

Download our template to get you started and edit the specialist clothes section to suit your hobbies and what you know is in your wardrobe. Leave some spaces to add things which don’t have a category when you do the audit.

  1. Gather ALL the clothes in your house, but not in your wardrobe. Check the laundry, wardrobes in other rooms, hallways, cars, under the bed. Find them all!
  2. Go through all your clothes and put a tally mark in the correct box as you go.
  3. Add up your totals.
  4. Go back through your clothes and put a tally mark in the correct box for ones you don’t actually wear. Don’t worry about why you don’t wear them and be honest with yourself about if you do or not. You don’t have to show anyone else.
  5. Take a last run through them and remove any items you no longer want or need.
  6. Check out our article here for ideas on what to do with them.
